At Improving Playfully, we believe that financial barriers should not stand in the way of growth and creativity. Our Scholarship Fund is a community-driven initiative designed to make our workshops accessible to everyone.

1. How It Works

When you register for a course, you have the option to add a “Pay It Forward” contribution to your invoice. These contributions are pooled together to create full or partial scholarships for participants who are currently facing financial hardship.

2. Contributing to the Fund

If you are in a position to help, you can choose to add a contribution (e.g., 2.500 ISK, 5.000 ISK, or a custom amount) to your booking.

• These funds are tracked separately and are used 100% to subsidize course fees for others.

• Contributions are non-refundable, even if you later cancel your own registration.

3. Applying for a Scholarship

If you would like to participate in a workshop but the current fee is a barrier for you, you can apply for a scholarship.

• Process: Simply send a short, informal email to info@improving-playfully.com mentioning which course you are interested in.

• Requirements: We do not ask for complicated proof of income – we trust our community. We only ask for your name, email, and kennitala to process the registration.

• Availability: Scholarships are granted based on the current balance of the fund and are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.

4. Transparency

We are committed to the integrity of this fund. While we protect the privacy of those receiving scholarships, we are happy to share the total amount raised and the total number of students supported upon request.
