Which course to choose?
All of our courses focus on impro for personal growth and team development. Thus, we are mainly focused on self-improvement, awareness and deep connections to ourselves and others. Our goal is to learn more about how we function through the playful and insightful nature of impro.
We teach the core principles and practices of improvisation to enhance relationships by promoting flexible responses to change, strengthening the capacity to cope with uncertainty and crisis intervention, and fostering a wide variety of communication skills —including empathy, affirmation, collaboration, and authenticity. There is a strong focus on adaptive communication skills.
We will not perform in front of an audience. This means that there is less performance pressure and we can focus more on our personal perception of IMPROvement. Moreover, we can more easily direct our attention towards individual as well as team intentions and goals.
We offer three types of courses: BEGINNER public courses, INTERMEDIATE public courses, and BUSINESS courses.

In the “INTRO” course, we explore the fundamentals of improvisation.
We learn about spontaneity and accepting offers. We discover how to be mindful of our behaviours, we start breaking our (limiting) patterns, and focus on being better listeners and communicators. Movement and body language play a huge role as well.
In this course, we use a variety of games and exercises that bring out our inner child – the state in which we learn the most.
We also laugh. A LOT. 🙂
The foundation for this is a safe space, where people feel seen, heard and accepted for who they are.

In the “I KNOW” intermediate course, we build upon our previously acquired foundations. The requirement for joining is a least one completed course of impro theatre (at any school).
We refresh what we explored in past impro classes and add the layers of character development, storytelling, and scene building. A big part of the course is weaving these principles into longer scenes. We will focus a lot on movement and using the body to speak instead of words.
We also question the rules we learned and reframe our beliefs.
Of course, this happens in a safe space where we feel comfortable to experiment and play.
Intermediate courses will take place in two different time slots, based on applications:
- Tuesdays, 18:15-21:15 (Aflagrandi 40, 107 Reykjavík
- Wednesdays, 17:30-20:30 (Bankastræti 2, 101 Reykjavík)
